Brianne Nightingale, M.A. - Academy Administrator
Brianne founded Dragonfly Academy in 2006 with a vision that given the right supports, all children can be successful to their highest ability. She has taught in various settings and recognized a large need in this area for a provider which specialized specifically in Autism Spectrum Disorder. She believes that with careful planning, a variety of methodologies may be utilized for each child to receive his/her greatest achievement. Brianne graduated from Walsh University with a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education and completed her Masters degree in Education at Malone College
Pamela Arney - Academy Nurse
Pamela has worked as a Nurse and Intake Specialist at Massillon Community Hospital for the last 15 years, where she worked closely with Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists on her floor, caring for patients from all walks of life. She is a member of Relay for Life, ran a support group for families and individuals dealing with strokes, held the position of Youth Group Teacher at her church as well as teaches VBS each summer. She has a passion for all children, especially those individuals with ASD.
Elizabeth Bradley - Preschool Intervention Specialist
Elizabeth graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  She has been a teacher for children with multiple disabilities in various settings, including Preschool.  Several years ago, a preschool student introduced her to the world of ASD.  Since then, Elizabeth has enjoyed learning more about how to help students with ASD maximize their potential.  Elizabeth relocated from Florida to Ohio in October of 2006 and is excited to be a part of Dragonfly Academy.

Nathan Leigh - Intervention Specialist
Nathan graduated from Walsh University in December of 2007 with his Bachelor’s degree in Education. Nathan is licensed in K-12 Special Education, mild to intensive, and has his Reading Endorsement. Nathan is very excited to work with the students at Dragonfly Academy.

Starrzanne Stipes - Intervention Specialist
Starrzanne is a 2007 graduate from Walsh University. She holds a Bachelor's
degree in Early Childhood Special education. She plans on continuing her
education and gaining her Master's degree in Special Education starting this
summer. This is her first teaching experience and is looking forward to
working with the students at Dragonfly Academy!

Katie Leigh - Intervention Specialist
Katie graduated from Walsh University in April of 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Education. She is licensed in Early Childhood Intervention Specialist Education and has a K-12 Reading Endorsement. Katie plans on pursuing her studies at Walsh for a K-12 Intervention Specialist license and a Master’s in Education. Katie is thrilled to be working with the staff and students at Dragonfly Academy.

Aven Snyder - Jr. High/High School Teacher

Aven graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College in December of 2005 with her Bachelor’s in 7-12th grade education.  Since then, she has been teaching in various settings, working with students with multiple needs and abilities.  She is continuing her education in Malone working towards her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction.  She is very excited to work at Dragonfly Academy.

Rhonda Abbott - Behavior Specialist
Rhonda is currently attending the University of Akron working toward a Bachelor’s in Education. She is a published author in two books of poetry. She loves working with the children at DA!

Whitney Britenbucher - Behavior Assistant
Whitney graduated from Kent State University in 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree of Fine Arts in Painting and completion of various psychology courses. She currently attends Ursuline College and is working towards a Master's Degree and Board Certification in Art Therapy Counseling. Whitney has worked as an ABA tutor for children with Autism and as an adult art instructor. She feels fortunate to share in the learning opportunities Dragonfly Academy offers.

Robin Woods - One-on-One Assistant
Robin is currently pursuing her Bachelors Degree in Human Development and Family Studies at Kent State University. She will graduate December 2008. Robin works as an ABA tutor for children with Autism and has a passion to help all children on the spectrum reach their potential. She is proud to be a part of the Dragonfly Family.

Dan Harlan - One-on-One Assistant
Dan is a junior at Walsh University majoring in Education, working towards an Intervention Specialist license. At Walsh, he is a soccer player, a member of the Walsh Chorale, and a coach for Green Youth Soccer Association

Carla Piazza - Behavior Assistant
Carla presently attends Walsh University and will graduate in April 2008 with a BA in Behavioral Science. Since completing her internship at Dragonfly in November 2007, she has developed a growing passion and enthusiasm for working with children with autism. Carla is excited to be an official member of the Dragonfly family!

Teena Koehler - Co-Teacher Elementary
Teena holds two Bachelor degrees and has 13 years of experience working with children with special needs children, most having autism.  Teena has a background in music and drama, where she worked as a choir director at several churches and has also written and directed several musicals.  She is thrilled to be a part of DA and contribute all she can to these very special children!
